Unitel - Internal Dictionary

UNITEL S.A is the biggest Angolan company providing services in the telecommunications field. Having been the first to operate with GSM technology in the Angolan market, it began commercial activity in 2001.

To coordinate and train more than 6000 agents and employees in more than 108 locations, the company felt the need to incorporate an internal dictionary with all the telco lexicon.

Project review

Year: 2022

Scope of work: User Experience, User Interface

Duration: 2 weeks

Let’s start with the basics

Problem

For 21 years, Unitel never developed anything like this. Wait, is this really a problem?

At first glance was hard to know how I could organise so much information, for such different departments, in friendly and harmonious ways.

The entire platform was going to be developed in OutSystems, which has a few design limitations.

Solution

Everything was possible! jkrdghkjdfgdkfjndkfjjbkdfbndkjbndkjfbnfjvndfkjvn

The creation of categories according to each department was a key element to simplify the interface. jkfehksfjrkfdkrfjroifgjwfpçweg

Instead of side menus, for example, I opted for pop-ups.

Listing all requirements at the beginning of the project is always a good idea.

With every client I like to start by mapping out what we need to do: what every user will do on every screen, all the actions, and key moments to turn the app as friendly as possible with fewer clicks.

The foundation of any project

With the goals of each page approved in hand, it was time to start creating design systems to set the foundation for all the content blocks we will need for this project.
